ABOUT / Vivian Hildebrandt

Since 2008, Vivian has been treating clients in Guelph and surrounding areas with respect and compassion.  She continues to enhance her knowledge of Bowen with Advanced Levels, course reviews and independent study.  Communication with the client is and has always been of the utmost importance in helping them achieve a state of solid wellbeing.
Vivian believes that treating the person as a whole, rather than in parts is the only way to truly reach the desired results.

“The cure of the part should not be attempted without treatment of the whole, and also no attempt should be made to cure the body without the soul, and therefore if the body and mind are to be well, you must begin curing the mind, that is the first thing. For this is the great error of our day in the physical treatment of the human body; that physicians separate the soul from the body” Plato Chronicles 156c

ABOUT / Bowen Therapy

Bowen work is a remedial body technique that is gentle and relaxing. It helps the body's own healing resources to achieve balance and harmony, which can result in lasting relief from pain and discomfort. The Bowen technique is performed on the superficial and deep fascia. The fascia, or soft tissue, is the part of the connective tissue that envelops, separates and influences every organ and tissue in the body. It has been called the ‘endless web’ – recent studies have shown it to be the largest and richest sensory organ in the body, having a profound effect on the body’s physiology and function.

The Bowen technique is safe to use on anyone, from newborns to the elderly and for any musculoskeletal or related neurological complaint. It is a holistic treatment that treats the whole person and aims to treat the cause of problems, rather than the symptoms. As well as providing rapid and often long-term pain relief, Bowen can help to improve:

Jaw Disorders
Neck Pain
Upper Respiratory
Frozen Shoulder
Carpal Tunnel
Circulatory IssuesBR> Asthma
Acid Reflux
Digestive Disorders
Lower and Upper Back Pain
Pelvic Pain
Prostate and Bladder Issues
Sciatic Pain
Sports Injuries
and the list goes on........

Patients are encouraged to seek treatment even if the condition is long standing.  In all cases and especially  Stroke, Sport injury and Car accidents, the sooner treatment is administered the less chance the condition has of anchoring itself in place.
